With its roots dating back to 1934, Rittenhouse Rye Whiskey originated in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania,and is deeply tied to the glory days of American rye whiskey- even the bottle design takes inspirationfrom the Art Deco style of the era.
It was originally crafted in the tradition of classic Monongahela rye whiskeys, known for their spicyand robust flavour profiles. However, over the ensuing decades, the brand fell out of fashion, only tobe resurrected at the turn of the century by NYC bartenders looking for authentic rye cocktail recipes.
Rittenhouses renaissance has been accompanied by a suite of awards, including North AmericanWhiskey of the Year (an incredible feat considering it beat out other bourbons, amongst others) and Worlds Best American Whisky at the 2020 World Whiskies Awards in London.
